Completion Requirements

Completion Requirements

To successfully complete an HBS Online Program, participants must meet all the following requirements:

1. Thoughtfully and timely complete all coursework by the required Program deadlines.

   1. All required course modules, learning activities, and exercises must be completed by the applicable deadlines. 

   2. For On-Demand courses and Sprints, all required course modules, learning activities, and exercises must be completed by the indicated access end date. Course calendars are not provided for On-Demand Programs.

   3. All assignments, if applicable, must be thoughtfully completed by the specified deadline indicated on the course calendar or by the applicable access end date. 

   4. Each Program outlines the assignments, learning activities, and completion requirements required for successful completion. In addition, the Orientation Guide and, where applicable, the course calendar are provided to participants upon enrollment. 

   5. More detailed information on each Programs' requirements will be communicated at the start of the Program. Overall grades are not assigned. Completion is evaluated as either Completed or Not Completed. For additional completion requirements, please review the Credential Requirements. 

   6. All work must be the participant's own work and in their own words. Plagiarism is not tolerated, nor is cutting and pasting text from the internet or from any generative AI tool as a participant's own answers, unless explicitly instructed to do so. Participants are required to follow the HBS Online Academic Honesty Guidelines. 

   7. Skipping questions by providing cursory responses or simply entering filler text is considered incomplete participation in the Program and may result in participants not meeting the completion requirements for their enrolled Program. 

   8. All work must be completed in English.

2. Active Engagement and Contributions

   1. Comment on other participants’ postings within the Program.

   2. Participate actively and respectfully in Team Discussions, as applicable.

Participants who fail to complete the applicable completion requirements will not successfully complete the Program. 

Please note: HBS Online Programs may include AI-based tools or features as part of the learning experience. Participation in these activities and the use of such AI-based tools or features may be required for successfully completing the Program.
