Why did you decide to sign up for Leading with Finance?
Leading with Finance offered the perfect opportunity to refresh my core finance skills and interact with a global group of colleagues in an online format that was ideal for my schedule.
What was your favorite part of the program?
The flexibility of the online application, the interactive nature of the format, and the opportunity to have virtual classmates from all over the world. Also, the ability to see who was online at any given time allowed me to connect with folks in real time.
How are you applying the skills you've learned in Leading with Finance?
I am a lot better at reading balance sheets, building my budget, and constructing arguments for why a particular investment makes financial sense in the long run. Prior to this job, I was working for a startup and this course allowed me to understand how private equity funding worked and how to maximize value.
Any advice for people who will be taking Leading with Finance?
Come in with an open mind and don't feel worried if you have no background in finance—your classmates will lift you up. Enjoy the journey—it will be fun and intellectually stimulating at the same time. Professor Desai is a rock star.
