Why did you sign up for an HBS Online course?
I'm a firm believer in continual education. After completing my MBA in 2020 (concurrent to full-time work), I was eager to continue studying. I looked at several online courses and chose HBS Online. The practical elements of Strategy Execution interested me.
What did you enjoy most about learning with HBS Online?
The online platform is extremely well designed. I love the flexibility of studying online, anywhere, at anytime. The quality of the course was incredible, with terrific case-studies, thought-provoking questions, and applicable tools and frameworks.
How are you applying what you learned in the course you took?
I've utilized the knowledge I gained from Strategy Execution by regularly reviewing my notes to tweak my approach when making decisions at work for optimum outcomes. Strategy Execution provides learners with tools and frameworks based on real-life business situations. This directly affects the value of the course, as the takeaways are applicable—not just theories you can learn in other courses.
What advice do you have for managing the course workload?
Managing the workload depends on your lifestyle. I suggest blocking time in your schedule to work through the modules. It's active learning, so you must be alert and ready to think and contribute. For me, this meant shorter, more frequent study sessions as opposed to longer, less frequent sessions. I thoroughly enjoyed working through the modules and felt a little dopamine kick every time I completed one.
What advice do you have about using the HBS Online platform to engage and interact with other students ?
The other students will provide an incredible learning advantage; tap into their knowledge! Discuss the content. Challenge ideas. Ask questions. Interact with other participants as much as you can to further your learning.

HBS Online is a terrific investment for developing your professional skills. Go for it!
