Why did you decide to sign up for CORe?
I really wanted to expand my knowledge base on certain concepts within business such as accounting and analytics.
What was your favorite part of the program?
I enjoyed the Business Analytics component of the program. Although I have previously worked with various statistical methods as an Economics major, the Business Analytics modules gave me the opportunity to expand upon these methods, in addition to new ones, and apply them to real world business problems. Whether working with Business Analytics, Financial Accounting, or Economics for Managers, I value the fact that we can apply concepts learned in the course to solving real issues encountered in and out of the workplace.
How are you applying what you've learned in CORe?
What I have learned in CORe has enhanced my critical thinking skills and will be applied to a career in consulting.
Any advice for people who will be taking CORe?
Overall, I believe this program is incredibly beneficial for individuals from all walks of life who are eager to learn new business concepts. If you choose to embark on the HBX CORe experience, my advice is to stay consistent, abide by the schedule that HBX has set for you to achieve your goals, and don't hesitate to reach out to your classmates when confused about a course concept.
