What prompted you to sign up for an HBS Online course?

With the name behind the course, I found it easy to take and quite affordable. I took three more courses after my first; that’s how much I enjoyed each one.

What did you enjoy about learning with Harvard Business School Online?

The platform is easy to follow and the support is amazing. The ability to learn at any hour of the day while juggling work responsibilities and raising a family also made it a very attractive option for me.

How are you applying what you learned in the courses you took?

I've taken some of the lessons learned about teamwork and leadership skills and applied them to my own team. I now have more frequent check-ins with my team and know how to structure difficult discussions in a more productive way. I never knew so much strategy and planning goes into effectively running a business unit within a firm until I took HBS Online's Strategy Execution course.

What advice do you have for managing the course workload?

Do a little bit at a time, and don't wait until the module is due because you'll never catch up. A few hours a day is best.

What advice do you have about using the HBS Online platform to engage and interact with other students on course content?

Engage with your peers so you can learn from their experiences and share thoughts and opinions.

Do you have any additional advice for people who will be taking HBS Online courses?

HBS Online courses are excellent for anyone who wishes to learn more about a particular subject area or further develop their career. For any manager, director, or leader out there, Leadership Principles and Strategy Execution are for you. They teach you how to apply the modules and take a multidimensional approach to any issue, set proper goals with a strategy map, look at operations risks, and build a good business strategy for your company.
