The Community features Chapters in more than 30 regions worldwide, where business professionals gather for virtual and in-person events to network and find new opportunities to advance their careers. Learners who successfully complete an HBS Online course will be added to the Community’s Official Networking Group and gain exclusive access to events and other networking opportunities.

Building your network is only one of the benefits of joining Community. HBS Online also partners with nonprofits to support other communities in need. Learners have met around the world to help organizations solve a pressing challenge facing their business. Explore our recent partnerships below:
Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) challenged the Community to develop a scalable, cost-effective way for pantries to deliver nutritious food to clients. Ten Chapters submitted innovative ideas, and the New York City Chapter won. Explore how the Community helped the GBFB get closer to their goal of ending hunger.
Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) asked the Community to help them reverse climate change and fight rural poverty, by developing a business plan that enables SHI to scale their impact by creating ventures that offset financial costs and increase farmers’ benefits. United Planet tasked the Community with crafting business plans to improve the reach and scale of its Virtual Exchange Program. Explore the ideas the Challenge’s first-ever runner-up and winner developed to help United Planet connect more schools worldwide.

The 2023 Community Challenge partner is the Bantwana Initiative of World Education, Inc. (WEI/Bantwana). The nonprofit provides access to social and child protection resources, education, and health services to individuals and communities in sub-Saharan Africa. WEI/Bantwana is asking the HBS Online Community to help it expand and become more financially self-sustaining. Learn more about the 2023 Challenge.
