The following terms apply if you have opted in to receive information from HBS Online using automated dialing technology to call or text you (collectively, “Messages” or “Messaging”). Remember that your use of the Services is at all times subject to the Harvard Business School Online Terms of Use Terms of Use which incorporate these SMS Terms. If you elect to receive Messages, we will send you recurring Messages to the mobile number you provided even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. If you do not agree to these SMS Terms, do not sign up for Messages.
You understand that you are subscribing to receive recurring Messages, sent by an automatic telephone dialing system, and that your carrier’s message and data rates may apply. By opting in to receive Messages, you are consenting to any such charges. Consent to receive Messages is not a condition to make any purchase with us, or to use the Services.
Your carrier may restrict or prohibit certain mobile features and certain mobile features may be incompatible with your carrier or mobile device. Please review your wireless carrier’s policies and contact them if you have any questions. You acknowledge that you are at least eighteen years of age and you have the consent of the wireless account holder to sign up for Messages and pay for any related fees. Neither we nor the carriers are liable for any delays or failures in the receipt of any Messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator. You are responsible for updating your number with us and ensuring your account information is correct. Messages may be sent via SMS or MMS messaging. Text messages may be promotional or transactional (in response to your participation in our Services, for example) in nature.
At any time, you may reply to a Message that is sent via text with the term “STOP,” and you will be opted out of receiving further Messages (via phone call or text message). You may also contact us through our Support Portal at any time to opt out of receiving further Messages, indicating clearly that you would like to be opted out of receiving Messages. You may receive a final confirmation Message to confirm your opt-out request.
To receive help or more information about our Messaging program, you may reply to a text Message with the word “HELP,” or contact us through our Support Portal.
Please note that use of your personally identifiable information, including the phone number at which you receive Messages, is subject at all times to our Privacy Policy.
