The Harvard Business School Online team is excited to announce that our annual conference, Connext, is returning this May in a hybrid format.
Save the date: Connext will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Introducing Our First-Ever Hybrid Connext
After three years, we’re excited to welcome learners back to the HBS campus for another day of networking, community-building, and knowledge-sharing.
Last year, Connext’s virtual format allowed us to welcome more participants than ever before. To continue providing this level of accessibility to our global community—and cater to COVID-19 safety concerns—Connext 2022 will be in-person and virtual: the first-ever hybrid Connext conference.
To bridge the gap between the experiences, you’ll be invited to download a hybrid conference app, where you can chat with attendees of any ticket type, view and curate your agenda, and participate in question and answer sessions with presenters.
Reimagining Leadership: Connext 2022 Programming
As the business landscape evolves with new challenges and opportunities, professionals need to adapt, pivot, and innovate—especially when it comes to leadership. That’s why the theme of Connext 2022 is “Reimagining Leadership.”
The day’s programming includes:
- Opening remarks from HBS Online Senior Associate Dean Luis Viceira and a keynote by Professor Julie Battilana (in-person and virtual)
- A panel discussion featuring Professor Lakshmi Ramarajan and Terrill Drake, HBS’s first chief diversity and inclusion officer (in-person and virtual)
- A large-scale case discussion led by Professor Bharat Anand (in-person and virtual)
- Case discussions led by professors Randy Cohen, V.G. Narayanan, Mike Wheeler, Suraj Srinivasan, Forest Reinhardt, and Ethan Bernstein (in-person only)
- A Live Online Classroom (LOC) case discussion led by Professor Mitch Weiss (virtual only)
- Networking opportunities (in-person and virtual)
- Closing remarks from HBS Online Executive Director Patrick Mullane (in-person and virtual)
While all virtual attendees will have the option to observe the LOC case discussion, there are 93 seats available for those who want to participate in the LOC itself. If you’d like to join the case discussion with Professor Mitch Weiss, please note your interest on your registration form for a virtual ticket. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and notified after registration has closed.
How to Register
Registration for Connext will open at 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Current and former HBS Online participants will receive an email with the link to register.
Although tickets are free, both in-person and virtual tickets are limited and first-come, first-served. Last year, tickets sold out in a matter of hours, so mark your calendars!
Please note that you may only register for one ticket type: in-person or virtual. If reserving an in-person ticket, please do so with every intention to attend in May.
In-Person Requirements
Everyone attending Connext 2022 in person must adhere to Harvard University and HBS COVID-19 guidelines at the time of the event. Currently, all in-person attendees are required to wear masks indoors and show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
